So, yeah, last night, my friends and I went to the Cute Is What We Aim For show [with Powerspace, Ace Enders and Danger Radio] and I have officially fallen in love.
With Andrew de Torres of Danger Radio/The Scene Aesthetic. He's so cute and short [my height! 8D] that my friend Ivy and I were both like, "omg, he's BITE-SIZED! OO" at the same time.. xD

:] Anyway. Show was awesome, meet and greet with Cute Is What We Aim For from buying their CD before it's released.. hugged Andrew de Torres, but no pics with him. D: Ivy hugged Ace Enders, but when she asked him, he was like, "No. D< .. *hug* xP" but I was like, "OMG, YOU JERK" in my head 'cause I'd read things about him being a jerk.. >__>; *cough* .. and then we saw Alec of Powerspace a bajillion times just walking around.

Cobra Starship concert, Jan. 20, 2008 @ Middle East Downstairs, Cambridge = BEST THING EVAR THIS YEAR SO FAR.

Okay, so after our math midyears, I was so excited to have something fun to look forward to and this concert was just too much beyond awesome. I went with my friends, Ivy and Anna.. and Julia was supposed to come, but she has poopy protective parents, so that sucked for her. D:

We arrived in Cambridge at around 11:45 because the concert was supposed to start at 1 PM.. and this kind of sucked because we found out after a few minutes in line in 20 degree weather that the doors wouldn't open until 1. Suckage. So we froze our asses off waiting for approximately an hour and a half in line.. but it wasn't as bad for us as it was for this group of girls behind us [who were really nice :3] who were only wearing SHORTSLEEVED SHIRTS. O_O;

Anywaysss.. things were all good once we actually got inside the club; it was much tinier than I expected it to be, but I didn't complain because that meant it'd be easier to push to the front. ^_____^ All three of us headed for the merch stands right away and I bought a shirt with the tour dates on the back [.. they listed Boston as Beantown.. T^T] and an awesome black hoodie that said "cobra" on the front and "KISS MY SASS" in giant gold lettering on the back. x3

The opening acts were The Cab, We The Kings and Metro Station. All of them were pretty good, though I got really pissed during Metro Station because there was this huge girl next to me who kept screaming, "OMFG [insert band member name here] I FUCKIN' LOVE YOU!" and she was so loud, I don't even understand how she could scream so much. o-o But, yeah... so, I was pretty much adrenaline'd for when Cobra Starship finally came out and the strobe lights just got me even pumped'er.

Cobra was absolutely awesome! We managed to push our way to the front and I was almost at the edge of the stage, except for this one girl in front of me who I was probably killing from jumping up to touch Gabe as many times as I could. ; I managed to touch a lot of parts of him.. locked fingers with him, touched his hoodie, his microphone, his thigh, his stomach, his ass.. xP Well, anyway. They played most of the songs on their first album [and a couple of them were acoustic! 8D] and all of the songs on their second album except for Angie. T____T; That made me slightly sad because Angie's one of my favorites of theirs. What made their performance COMPLETELY awesome was that they played songs for us that they'd never played before.. like Hollaback Boy! =3

Sometime in the middle of Cobra's performance, the crowd sang Happy Birthday to Vicky-T because it was, well, her birthday. xD And someone threw their watch onstage to her as a present and Gabe was like, "Aww, don't do that.. she'll never wear it!" but he helped her put it on her wrist anyways. Also, there was a part where Gabe was talking to the crowd and I yelled up to him, "DO YOU LIKE MUFFINS? o.o" and he was like, "Well, I'm more of a cake person.." and then I went, "Aww, well, that's okay, I still love you. x)" and then Ivy and Anna yelled to Gabe if he would marry them and he said YES, which was fantastic.

So, after the encore and they were leaving the stage, Nate threw his stuff at the crowd and Anna managed to snatch his water bottle and his small blue towel! We each took a sip from the bottle and rubbed our faces with the towel. ^3^

I would've been satisfied with the great concert experience in itself, but the BEST part was while everyone was leaving, Anna, Ivy and I walked to the curb behind the club where the tour bus was to wait for Ivy's dad to pick us up when we heard someone say, "Hey guys!" and much to our surprise, Vicky-T was walking towards us! We didn't expect to meet anyone from the band, so we were all like, "OMGOMG!" in our heads, but we kept our cool. xP We asked Vicky for hugs and a picture and wished her happy birthday; she's so nice and pretty in person. ^-^ We also asked her if the rest of the band would be coming out and she was like, "Yeah, they'll be out soon." .. so we waited.

And out came Alex Suarez! The "OMG"s came and we asked and received hugs and a picture with him. He's really adoraaaableeee... After Alex came.. actually, I can't remember if it was Nate or Ryland. .____.; xD *cough* .. well.. I think it was Ryland.. as he walked out of the tour bus, all three of us were like, "Ryland! " and I said, "You have the most awesome name," and he really does. I mean, Ryland Blackinton <--- what's not to love about a name like that? And, maaaan is Ryland TALL! Made us feel like midgets, gosh.. Again, pictures and hugs and a few minutes of chatting. While he talked to some other fans, Ivy and Anna noticed that one could see Nate taking off his shirt in the bus and Ivy joked, "Hey, we should take a picture! xD" .. and it was pretty hilarious because Ryland was just like, "'Scuse me for a sec.." and he went back into the bus; a few seconds later, all the windows went dark and Ryland came back out.. u_u; xP When Nate made his appearance, we got the hugs and the pictures. When Anna got her hug, she was like, "Can I have a hug because you're my absolute favorite band member? :3" and I went, "A hug for me too because you're just so cute? ;" and then Anna mentioned that she caught his stuff. x3 Nate was supernice, but it seems like he don't smile much. D:

With 4 out of 5 band members met, of course we were all anticipating being able to meet Gabe.. it was maybe half an hour until he came out though, but we were set in seeing the awesome Gabanti. And lo and behold, he FINALLY came out of the bus and as he walked towards us, he actually tripped on the curb and fell on me! *_* .. I was momentarily stunned, partly because he was also rlyrly tall and partly because he had grabbed my arms for support. ^_______^;;; Since Julia hadn't been able to come to the concert, Ivy, Anna and I had the idea of taking a pic of Gabe holding a notecard saying, "I <3 Julia" on it, which he agreed to. Then we got our individual hugs and a group picture; he makes the most adorable faces and poses in the pictures. x)

Aaaaand that was basically our "OMFGNOWAI"-night. :] .. [don't have the brain capacity to type anymore]

.. this journal is so long that I doubt anyone's actually gonna read it, YET I DO NOT CARE. It just makes me feel much better to type this out and relive the concert in my head. *siiiighhh*

It's not a Wacom, but it works just fine, I guess. xP
Now I just gotta learn to draw with a tablet. ._.;
